The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that humanitarian aid flows have decreased by 67 percent following the Israeli attacks on Rafah.
“The flow of humanitarian supplies to Gaza has decreased by 67 percent since May 7. This is due to the closure of the Rafah border crossing, the inability to receive goods safely and stably through the Kerem Shalom border crossing, and limited deliveries through other entry points. Health, humanitarian and social services in Rafah are being forced to close one after another as a result of increased fighting, insecurity and evacuation orders in Rafah, as well as the need to divert resources to areas where displaced people are seeking shelter,” the statement said.
THE EXODUS OF THE PEOPLE OF GAZA CONTINUES
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) stated that the flight of Gazan families continues due to the attacks on Rafah, “More families are fleeing Rafah following the intensification of military operations. People in Gaza are exhausted. The brutal violence is affecting every aspect of their lives and the situation is dire. No matter where families seek refuge, it has been proven time and again that they are not safe.”
