Togg T10X was selected as the car of the year in the ‘Automobile of the Year in Turkey’ competition organized by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) for the 9th time this year. As a result of the competition, Togg T10X won the first place among the 7 cars in the finals by receiving 2630 points with the votes of OGD members.
Togg T10X was the winner of the “Turkey’s Car of the Year 2024” competition, which was organized by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) for the ninth time this year and experienced great excitement at all stages. Togg T10X, which received a total of 2630 points from 63 automotive journalists who are members of OGD, reached the first place.
The winners in 3 different categories were also announced at the “Turkey’s Car of the Year” final night and award ceremony organized by the Automotive Journalists Association (OGD) at the Rahmi Koç Museum. The “Press Launch of the Year” award went to the Renault Austral launch held in Gökçeada, while the “Innovation of the Year” award went to the Togg brand with the “Togg Trumore Digital Experience Platform” that brings together the mobility experience in a single application, and the “Design of the Year” category award went to the Kia EV9.
GREAT EXCITEMENT
In the first stage of the “Turkey’s Car of the Year” Competition, the 7 cars that scored the highest number of points among the 28 candidate cars, as voted by the jury members, qualified to take part in the final. The finalist models were selected on the basis of “design, handling, ergonomics, fuel consumption, emission rates, safety, equipment level, price-value ratio”. in terms of the quality of the cars in the competition. In the second stage, which determines the “Car of the Year”, “BMW 5 Series, Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Mercedes-Benz E Series, Renault Austral, Togg T10X, Toyota C-HR Hybrid” qualified for the finals.
“CAR OF THE YEAR HAS BECOME A BRAND”
Speaking at the ceremony held at the Rahmi Koç Museum where the Togg T10X, which was deemed worthy of Turkey’s “Automobile Oscar”, was announced, OGD Chairman Ufuk Sandık said, “The Automobile of the Year has become a brand. It is followed by automotive companies in Turkey as well as main centers abroad. This shows the success of OGD and the Automobile of the Year organization. In addition to the Car of the Year award, the awards we give in other categories also attract great interest. There is even more competition than the Automobile of the Year award. This is proof that we are doing the right things.”
“WE RECEIVED A MEANINGFUL AWARD”
After Togg T10X was selected as the winner, Togg Corporate Communications and Brand Leader Çağ Günaçar said in his speech that they were very happy with this decision made by automotive journalists. Çağ Günaçar continued his words as follows:
